BREAD PAKORA RECIPE|HOW TO MAKE PAKODA

The bread pakora recipe is one of my favorite snacks. it is as known as bread bajji or aloo pakora or bread pakoda is a popular breakfast or popular snack and famous street food of India. mainly in Maharashtra.

We can make more recipes, like rolls, bonda, plain. the plain ones are made without stuffing.to make plain pakoda we just dip the stuffed slices in batter and deep fry. In this recipe, we can use aloo or potato for stuffing. this is a crispy fried delicious recipe is a heavy party snack.

INGREDIENTS :

ingredients
  • BREAD 6 SLICES OR AS REQUIRED.
  • OIL FOR DEEP FRY.

FOR STUFFING:

  • POTATO OR ALOO 2 MEDIUM FOR 6 BREAD SLICES.
  • GREEN CHILI (OPTIONAL FOR CHILDREN).
  • CORIANDER LEAVES FINELY CHOPPED.
  • 1 TABLESPOON RED CHILI POWDER.
  • ½ TEASPOON TURMERIC POWDER.
  • SALT AS PER TASTE
  • 1 TABLESPOON CORIANDER POWDER.
  • 1 TABLESPOON GARAM MASALA.
  • ONION 1 SMALL CHOPPED (OPTIONAL).
  • 1 TABLE SPOON OIL.

FOR BATTER:

  • ½ CUP BESAN OR GRAM FLOUR
  • 2 TABLESPOON RICE FLOUR (OPTIONAL)
  • ½ TABLESPOON RED CHILI POWDER
  • ½ TEASPOON TURMERIC POWDER
  • SALT AS PER TASTE
  • CORIANDER LEAVES FINELY CHOPPED
  • ½ TEASPOON CORIANDER POWDER
  • WATER AS REQUIRED

PREPARATION :

Make stuffing:

  • Boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker for 2whistles , after boiled mash the potatoes.

  • Add salt 1tbsp or as per taste.

  • add coriander leaves finely chopped.

  • Mix everything well.

Making batter :

  • Take a bowl  and add besan or gram flour ½ cup.

  • Add ½ tbsp salt or as per taste.

  • Mix well.

  • add water as required and make the thick batter.

Bread slices stuffing  :

  • Take the bread slices and cut the brown sides.

  • cut into two parts.
  • Then take slices and stuffing the potato mixture.

  • And place the other bread slice.

frying :

  • Place a Kadai on gas add oil for deep fry heat the oil for 5 minutes.

  • Then dip the stuffed bread slices into the batter on both sides.
  • Gently slide this into the hot oil and do not disturb it for a minute.

  • We can add 2 or more pakoras in one round it depends on the size of our pan.

  • Fry on a medium flame until golden color on one side, then turn to the other side. Fry them till both sides turn a crispy and golden color.

  • Do the same with all pokaras.

  • Bread pokara is ready to serve hot with your liked green chutney or tomato sauce.
